Effective February 2002, Solare closed its doors.  Our regrets to the fine people who counted on the resort, be they visitors like ourselves or employees.  Rumors of death in the ownership family and lack of viability of the resort are given for closing.  Hopefully there will be someone interested in acquiring the property and reopening it in a format similar to the Solare mode.  We survived the change from Eden to Solare, maybe we'll be there for the next reinvention.

Having lost Solare, 6 of us are willing to try the Caribbean Reef Club in Cancun.  June 8-14, 2002 is the trip, so I'll post up something of a report upon return.

We'll see how it goes.
